Please help end this mess!

After watching dispatches tonight I could not help but try and create some kind of change… this is something that has to end, now!

The organisation stepping stones web site should tell you a bit more about what they do, but just after the story was on the web I was unable to get on the site, probably so many people on looking at the site I would imagine… the programme was very good and really made me want to learn more about it all and help make some change happen…

Stepping Stones Nigeria are working with children who have been branded by their family and community as being witches… the children are tortured and forced to confess using methods that would make me admit to anything just would make them stop, never mind a defenceless child… The main cause are so called ‘religious’ prophets who are spreading word that children are witches when any form of bad fortune comes around… like people in the family passing away, illness, food turning etc…

so they tell parents of these families that they are to torture the child until they confess… this may sound absolutely mental, but it is happening.

Please, if you care to! write to your MP, councilor and anyone in power anywhere in the world to try and stop this! I will stick links to this on social media sites etc to try and get anyone who gives a toss to read it and maybe just some people will do something that will make the difference.

My vision for this is that the legislation will protect children, the police will arrest all of the perpetrators, and the education of non religious centred learning opportunities will be available for all of these communities and its children.
